Missy grew up on a dairy farm where a sense of responsibility and duty to animals and their welfare was instilled early on. Although Missy has always been very passionate about her love for animals, she never thought she would be a business owner. This company was started because, well, everyone she knew kept asking her to petsit so often that it was cutting into her "real" job at the time! Missy had been traveling around working on various farms prior to creating Nomad At Home in 2017, but eventually decided that petcare was the industry she belongs in. When not working Missy loves spending time with her partner Kelsey and beloved pets (2 Chihuahuas named Rosie and Monster and 2 cats named Mucus and Snot). Other interests include hiking and wildlife, gardening/permaculture, horror movies, and everything music related!

Animals are a focal point of Kates’ life. Growing up with dogs, cats, and various smaller rodents, responsibility for pets is a second nature. She primarily works overnight live-in sitting packages, always leaving the home in the same or better condition than when she arrived. With no breed aversion or size discrimination, there’s no animal Kate wouldn’t give love and attention. Working remotely for the family business gives Kate the flexibility to be available practically any day of the month.
My name is Abby and obviously, I love dogs! I've had them all my life. I've always known dogs to be a part of the family and have easily gotten along with pretty much any dog. I have 2 rescues myself, Lena and Bella who are total loves and who just gained a new buddy, Casca, my boyfriend's pup! I also have 2 lop eared bunnies Dandy and Lily. In addition to my love for animals, I love being out in nature, I'm creative, friendly and honest. My other work is with a floral company and I have my own home-based home goods business. Any questions feel free to ask!

As a fellow pet parent and also a parent who has used sitters for my own pets, I totally understand the importance of a reliable and kind caregiver. I have fostered many dogs and owned many rescues. I’m trained in crisis intervention and de-escalation practices, so I feel comfortable meeting and engaging with pets of all kinds of temperaments and care needs.
An animal lover since childhood, Courtney always knew she wanted to work with animals. In her past, she has been a dairy cow milker, a therapy horse volunteer, a falcon field researcher, a veterinary assistant, a labratory animal caretaker, and a pet owner of all different species ranging from rodents and fish to reptiles, birds, and even chickens and goats.. as well as your usual dogs and cats, of course. Having recently earned her bachelors degree in Biology, Courtney is currently working as a labratory technologist at Penn State HMC and is looking forward to new adventures with your furry friends during her part-time hours with Nomad at Home.

Hello, my name is Justin. I grew up in the tiny little township of North Heidelberg, PA. My family lived within shouting distance of my grandparents 86 acre dairy farm. It was from my grandparents that I learned many of the values that are still with me today like honesty, integrity, dedication, and putting others first. As children, my sisters and I had many pets including cats, a dog, an iguana, rabbits, etc. Our family dog, a German Shepherd/Husky mix named Sheba, was my best friend. I did absolutely everything with her. After some travel and pursuing a career in music in California, I eventually moved back to PA and bought a house in the mountains that I spend a lot of my free time still working on. I still play music and always will. As an adult I have owned 2 snakes (an Argentine Boa named Tina and a CA Kingsnake named Lucy). As of January 2022, I have been living with a new best friend - my 4 year old Welsh Corgi named Buttercup. I work a lot and do landscaping jobs as well as pet and house sitting. Throughout my life and onward into the future it was, is, and most likely will always be my love for music, animals, and nature paving the path for me to follow.
